Our Story
A Taste of Home, from El Salvador & Nicaragua to Potranco Road
El Buen Paladar was built on a simple idea: food should taste like it was made by someone who loves you. Every pupusa is patted by hand and griddled to order, every platter is piled generously, and every plate carries the flavors of San Francisco Gotera, Morazán and the Nicaraguan countryside — right here in San Antonio.
Step inside and you'll feel it immediately: feel-good salsa music in the air, sunlight pouring through big open windows, and a massive painting of San Francisco Gotera Morazán watching over the room. It's the kind of "beautiful Salvi/Nica energy" our guests keep coming back for, alongside a maracuyá agua fresca and a menu that spans both sides of the border — Salvadoran and Nicaraguan.
